Terms of service
Plain language, and it means what it says.
The agreement
By using 3 Strikes you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use it.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Venue plans include staff accounts for that.
- You must be at least 13, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Your content
The nights you run, the names you type and anything you upload remain yours. You give us permission to store and display it only so the service can work — for example, showing a night on its own public page.
Do not put anything unlawful, abusive or infringing into it. We can remove content that is, and tell you why.
Money
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe.
- Prices can change. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before it affects them.
- Cancel any time from the billing page. It takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
- We never take a cut of your tournament pot. We do not handle that money at all — we only record what you tell us about it.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
What we promise
- To keep the service running as well as we reasonably can.
- Not to show ads on any plan.
- Not to sell your data.
- Not to delete your nights because you moved to a cheaper plan.
- To give at least 30 days' notice before shutting the service down, with a working export.
What we do not promise
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.
In particular: we are not responsible for the outcome of your tournament, for any dispute about a result, or for any money changing hands at your venue. The app is a record of what you told it.
Gambling
Running a tournament for money may be regulated where you are. That is your responsibility to check, not ours. We do not process entry fees or prize money and we take no cut of either.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, is being used to abuse the service, or is being used unlawfully — and we will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
